Wildlife Intake
Many well-meaning animal rescues are made unnecessarily.
If you’ve found a wild animal that you believe may be injured or orphaned, please see our Resources to determine the best course of action.
I want to bring an animal to Shalom Wildlife Hospital. What do I need to know?
If you have a small wild animal (under 10 pounds) that you believe needs veterinary and/or rehabilitative care, we are open for intakes weekdays from 8 AM to 6 PM and weekends from 9 AM to 5 PM. Please note that we do not accept rattlesnakes.
If you find an injured or orphaned wild animal after hours, you can keep the patient in a quiet, warm, dark space overnight. If you choose to keep an animal in your home before bringing it in for care, please keep it away from children and domestic animals. Alternatively, you can call animal control.
