Support Our Mission
There are many ways for you to help us help wildlife. If any of the following appeal to you, we’d love for you to join our team!
Join the Team
From March until August we need volunteers present for 12 hours daily to make meals, bottle feed babies, clean enclosures, weigh patients, do dishes, and do laundry. The minimum commitment is three hours each week. It is not a clean job but it is fulfilling and rewarding. Volunteers aged 16-18 can volunteer but only if a parent or guardian accompanies them to training and their regular weekly shift. You do not need experience. You’ll first read through some materials and watch some videos to prepare you and then you will complete three training shifts. We stop training new volunteers in early July since the babies are starting to wean at that point. Our volunteer application form will be posted again in February.
From August until March we only need one person to come in in the morning and one to come in the evening since we generally do not have babies, just a few injured adults who may need medications.
If you have an interest in veterinary medicine you may also give subcutaneous fluids and vaccines or possibly perform necropsies.
Outside of our care team, we do need folks to help with knitting, making natural perches, constructing and fixing enclosures, taking photos and videos, managing social media, and fundraising. Please email ericaellisDVM@gmail.com if you have questions!
Make a donation. Our babies will love you for it!
Spring cleaning?
Please consider donating new or clean, gently used items such as:
towels of all sizes (especially bath towels)
small pet bowls
pet cages/kennels
small pet hammocks
Please contact us if you would like to donate these or any other items!
Help us grow!
Whether our wildlife patients are here for a day or here for a month, we need to have the right items on hand for their feeding and care as they’re growing up and growing strong. Here are some of the nonperishables and supplies that are on our donation wish list:
PetAg KMR (Kitten Milk Replacer)
Tuna cans
Kitten and puppy chow
Kitten and puppy canned food
Paper towels
syringes (1 mL, 5 mL, and 10 mL)
Clorox wipes
